Tribrachidium

Tribrachidium probably represents an extinct lophophore (a group which includes bryozoa, brachiopods, phoronids and possibly entoprocts, and characterised by the possession of a tentacle-like food collecting organ - the lophophore). Tribrachidium is unique in possessing a tripartate, or three-way body plan of three curved lophophores supporting strong bristle-like filaments. Diameter of specimen = 5 cms.
